Data Visualization

Talking about the importance of reducing complex data sets into smaller symbolic elements that can be acted upon-- the key to much of UX design.

Data visualization is a highly useful skill that requires an understanding not only of the data being represented, but a strong empathetic understanding of the audience's perspective.
This was an early design for a web intranet site where users could see relevant and sometimes urgent information as they went about their work within the larger tool. 
This was some concept design work done at NIMBOXX exploring layout and color patterns 
This was an early production version showing live data in a complex system. Working in future versions was a design giving users the ability to quickly and efficiently turn on & off elements in the main Utilization window, making it more efficient and easy to understand.
Exploring concepts to work on tablet platform, defining working space, menus and optimized layout structure.
